Major stablecoins, and the major tokens tied to BTC, ETH or SOL. Prices come from exchange order books (Kraken, Coinbase, Bitstamp, Binance, OKX) read every 15 seconds — the midpoint of the best bid and ask, books wider than 0.1% left out, the median across exchanges. Tokens without such books, or when the books cannot be read, use CoinGecko's weighted price (every minute). An alert is recorded when the gap stays past the line (3 readings in a row from the books, 2 separate CoinGecko updates), and a return when it stays within the return line for 10 minutes (±0.5% and ±0.25% for stablecoins, ±1.0% and ±0.5% for tokens priced in BTC, ETH or SOL). Staking tokens whose value per coin grows (wstETH, jitoSOL …) are compared with their own 7-day median, not with 1. The time is when it was recorded.

Questions we are asked

Where do these notices come from?

carryroom takes these notices from each exchange's own public announcement feed.

We record the headline, its type, the time and the link, and nothing else. The headline stays in the exchange's own English so the meaning does not shift in translation. Open the source to read the notice itself.

What counts as a peg move?

The latest reading differs from the one 24 hours earlier by at least 0.5 points.

Tokens that pay a yield sit above their peg by design, so a standing gap is not listed - only the change is. Coins with under 10M in circulation are left out because a thin book moves the printed price on its own. Prices are DefiLlama's; each entry also shows CoinGecko's price from the same run, because aggregators (CoinMarketCap included) average different markets and can disagree.

How often does this page change?

Notices are collected every 15 minutes, prices twice an hour.

Collection began on 2026-09-20, so the list is short at first and fills in as things happen. Nothing is back-filled: a notice not collected on the day cannot be recovered later.
